Who provides the Wi-Fi for these brands?
The act of installing a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot is decidedly more complex than just finding a spot in the vehicle to hide a router – it has to run on a network that people trust. In order to provide people with a reliable internet connection while they’re in motion, FCA engineers partnered with AT&T Wireless. Billion Auto Group customers who are already AT&T users should be able to add the data plan for their new vehicles to their existing account. Please see an AT&T expert for more details.
What kinds of data plans are available?
Owners of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram vehicles with the version of the Uconnect infotainment system have three basic categories to choose from when picking a data plan: post-paid, pre-paid and daily/weekly. Here is break down of the basic price structure of these plans.
Data: Includes shared data
$10/month
Data: Unlimited
$20 for 30 days
Daily or weekly plans
Data: 250 MB
$5/day
Data: 1 GB
$15/Week
*Certain restrictions or throttling may occur based on usage. Contact your nearest AT&T store for more details.
How much can I do with these data plans?
If you happen to choose a plan without an unlimited data allotment, you certainly don’t want to go over your limit. We have found this calculator to help you get an estimation of how much data you’d need to do what you’d like to do.
