Just about every automaker operating in the United States today offers their special take on combining audio, connectivity and navigation functions into a single unit. But, the version offered by Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles takes this idea a step or two farther. So, how does UConnect work and what can you do with it? UConnect basics

The easiest way to understand UConnect and what it offers is to think about it as a media hub. Owners with Apple- or Android-based smartphones will be able to connect their devices to the system and use most, if not all of their favorite apps while they’re on the road. UConnect also helps drivers make and receive phone calls and can even help write text messages using voice commands.

What other devices are compatible with UConnect?

Smart speakers like Amazon Alexa are quickly becoming indispensable tools that make our lives noticeably easier. If you have one of these, you can also connect it to the infotainment platform provided by new model Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles.

When properly connected, the Alexa/UConnect combination can remotely start your vehicle, lock/unlock doors, tell you how much gas you have left and set up a route to find a specific destination.

Can UConnect entertain my kids?
