Ram Trucks Pays Respect to Veterans in Commercial
By Product Expert | Posted in Ram Trucks, Shareable on Friday, May 26th, 2017 at 3:59 pmThe New Ram Truck Commercial Is Here!
With Memorial Day right around the corner, and Armed Forces Day having already passed on May 20, Ram has released a commercial celebrating those who have fought in the name of freedom. Featuring an actual World War II veteran and one of 5 remaining Grumman F6F Hellcat Navy Fighter Planes, the new ad was released on Armed Forces Day during the Preakness Stakes.
Titled “Airplane Rescue,” the commercial portrays a father and son going through an airplane graveyard, and finding an old World War II Navy Fighter plane, which we then learn was flown by the father during World War II. The son then works to repair the plane, and at the end, they watch as it takes off, restored to its former glory, as the narration of “Long Live Honor and Long Live the truck that salutes those who built this country” is heard over an arrangement of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young,” performed by Anderson East.

Long Live Ram Commercial
This advertisement focuses not on the truck, but on what you can do with it. The features and specs are secondary to paying respect to those who keep our country safe. The commercial is part of Ram’s Long Live Ram campaign, which bring attention to the people who rely on the strength of Ram Trucks to do what needs to be done. Other advertisements in the campaign include “Skate” where Ram trucks clear the way to a frozen over pond so the community can make use of it, and “Brotherhood,” which focused on the New York City Tunnel Workers and all the underappreciated work they do for the city.
You can find more information on the Ram Trucks we have available at Billion Auto Group or schedule a test drive. We would like to take a moment to offer our thanks to those who have served in the Armed Forces, and to honor the lives lost in pursuit of protecting our freedom.
