Method of Preparation
To prepare the Christmas cookie, you will first need to prepare the dough. To make the dough sift 3 ¾ cups of flour, one teaspoon baking powder, and one teaspoon of salt. The next step is to cream one cream of softened margarine, 1 ½ cup of sugar. Into this, beat two eggs one at a time and stir in one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
To this mixture, gradually mix in the sifted mixture in small batches and knead into a dough form. Once the dough is ready, let it chill in the refrigerator for two hours.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C and grease the cookie sheets. Flour a clean surface and roll out chilled dough with ¼ thickness. Now use a cookie cutter and cut it into the shape of stars, Christmas trees, and gingerbread men.
Place the sheet in the preheated oven and bake the cookies till wholly done. Decorate the cookies with colored icing sugar or melted candy once cooled.
