How do I use the GMC apps with my truck?

For several years now, GMC pickup trucks and SUVs have been automotive industry leaders in available technology. For sure, the centerpiece of the brand’s capabilities surrounds the GMC IntelliLink infotainment system and all that it has to offer. In fact, there are so many new features and systems which can exist inside and outside of a GMC vehicle, that owners might not know where to start looking for all of the available features. What can I do with myGMC Mobile App?

GMC crossover SUVs and pickup trucks were among the first vehicles in the global automotive industry to recognize and harness the power of smartphones. The myGMC Mobile App is available for Apple- and Android-based smartphones. After downloading the app and going through the easy-to-follow registration process, owners can have a shocking level of control of their vehicle as long as they can get a signal. Locking and unlocking doors, turning headlights on and off and setting parking reminders are just the beginning of what can be done with a few presses of a few buttons in the myGMC Mobile App.

Additionally, the myGMC Mobile App is ready to help owners keep their vehicles running. Owners will be able to view vehicle diagnostic information and schedule a service appointment right from the application.

What is the GMC SHOP app?

Since all versions of GMC trucks and SUVs come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, GMC has done the work of curating a set of applications that are built specifically to work with a GMC vehicle’s infotainment system.

By pressing the GMC SHOP icon on the touchscreen, owners will be brought to a menu of available applications that will help solve several issues including weather forecasting, traffic monitoring and others.

How do I download GMC apps

In order to be able to download the various applications contained within the GMC SHOP, your vehicle will have to be connected to a Wi-Fi source. This can be the Wi-fi signal at home or work. Or if you have activated the onboard Wi-Fi hotspot offered on all GMC vehicle, you can use that as well.
