How much gas does the 2019 Ram 1500 use?
There was a quite a stir created when it was announced that Ram would be making its most popular truck a “mild hybrid,” as it’s known in the industry. Before people learned about what the eTorque system does, some were overly (and needlessly) concerned the 2019 Ram 1500 was going to be underpowered. Customers can find the supplemental electric motor on the 3.6-liter, Pentastar V-6 and 5.7-liter, HEMI® V-8 engine. In addition to helping the 2019 Ram 1500 be more fuel-efficient, eTorque can actually boost the power output of both engines. Versions of the truck using the V-6 engine can see an additional 90 pound-feet of torque added and the HEMI® will get an additional 130 pound-feet.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the 2019 Ram 1500 will offer pretty impressive improvements to its fuel economy scores versus last year and competing models from rival manufacturers. Take a look at the table below for all the efficiency information you need about the 2019 Ram 1500.
