It’s easy to keep your foot on the brake and apply a little pressure to keep your car traveling at a safe speed when driving down a steep slope, but this can cause damage to your brake system. The constant braking can build up heat and damage brake components like rotors and brake pads.
- Revving your engine in cold weather. Allow your engine to warm up properly and thoroughly before you rev its engine. Reving it too soon can cause damage to engine parts that have not been lubricated by engine oil yet.
